Dynamix Fabrication is a key example of the success that can be achieved through the Renko Group Start-Up Incubator Programme, launched in early 2025 to deliver high-precision sheet metal fabrication across the Northern Territory of Australia. Established with strategic backing from Renko Group, what began as an internal fabrication workshop supporting Select Switchboards and Custom Works has rapidly evolved into one of Darwin’s most capable CNC fabrication and manufacturing facilities.
From day one, Renko Group positioned Dynamix Fabrication with a clear focus on precision, efficiency, and full control over production. Through targeted investment in state-of-the-art machinery and the development of a highly skilled local workforce, Renko supported the creation of a manufacturing operation capable of meeting the growing demand for reliable, Australian-made metal fabrication in Northern Australia.
As capabilities expanded, external demand followed. Within months, businesses across Darwin began engaging Dynamix Fabrication for dependable CNC cutting, folding, welding, and powder-coating services. Services that addressed a long-standing gap in the Northern Territory’s manufacturing sector and reinforced the value of Renko’s incubator as well as the integrated manufacturing solutions model.
The Numbers
Today, Dynamix Fabrication operates from an 18,900 m² purpose-built facility, supported by Renko Group and equipped with a highly capable in-house team and advanced manufacturing infrastructure. The facility includes three in-house 3D drafters, five high-tech CNC machines covering laser cutting, turret punching, folding and routing, four fully equipped welding bays, and hundreds of specialised fabrication tools and machines, enabling complete control over the fabrication process from design through to finished product.

2025 February
Launch & Early Growth of Dynamix Fabrication
Dynamix Fabrication was launched within the Renko Group Incubator Programme to support internal metal fabrication projects for Select Switchboards and Custom Works. During this phase, Renko Group focused on establishing a high-performance fabrication workshop designed for speed, accuracy, and zero reliance on outsourcing.
Key milestones supported by Renko Group during this phase included securing the 18,900 m² facility, installing five advanced CNC machines, building an extensive inventory of specialist tools and equipment, establishing a fully connected in-house production chain, and upgrading welding bays to enable a seamless flow into finishing operations.
By early 2025, Renko Group had successfully delivered a fully equipped fabrication facility supported by a highly skilled team, capable of producing fast, precise sheet-metal components for internal group companies.
2025 July
Team Expansion & Enhanced Design Capability
With the workshop fully operational, Renko Group supported the expansion of Dynamix Fabrication’s engineering and design capability. The addition of three in-house 3D drafters enabled faster design, optimisation, and problem-solving, significantly reducing turnaround times and eliminating costly manufacturing errors.
At the same time, a fully integrated digital workflow was implemented, linking the drafting office directly to every CNC machine. This Renko-driven systems approach allowed jobs to move seamlessly from design through cutting, folding, welding, and assembly. This improved precision and repeatability for large order projects, reducing labour hours and costs for clients.
This phase also marked Dynamix Fabrication’s expansion beyond internal work, as Renko Group positioned the business to support Darwin’s wider manufacturing sector, delivering reliable local fabrication services for builders, manufacturers, and marine operators.
2026 January
Powder Coating, Finishing & Lean Manufacturing
The new year of 2026 represented another major milestone, with Renko Group supporting the introduction of in-house powder coating and finishing capabilities. A large-format powder-coating system was installed, including a dedicated pretreatment area and an 8 m × 3.5 m × 3 m batch oven. This provides Dynamix Fabrication with the capability to complete end-to-end manufacturing solutions with specialised finishes or coatings on site.
Alongside this, Renko Group rolled out Lean 5S manufacturing principles across the facility, transforming workflow efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring consistent product quality. By streamlining movement between workstations and standardising processes, projects could move from design to completion more quickly, delivering shorter lead times and greater reliability.
Integrated digital systems and controlled workflows improved accuracy and repeatability across both one-off and high-volume production, while better organisation and tool utilisation reduced material waste and operating costs. Clear zoning, improved storage, and consistent housekeeping also created a cleaner, safer, and more structured working environment, positioning Dynamix Fabrication to start 2026 with the capacity to operate at a significantly higher level of discipline, efficiency, and quality assurance.
