Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
1.1 This privacy policy applies to Renko Group Pty Ltd, ABN 26 641 154 583, and each of the following related operating entities (together, Renko, we, us):

1.2 Each entity is a separate legal entity. Renko Group Pty Ltd provides centralised administration, including accounts and credit administration, on behalf of the operating entities. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Personal information we collect
2.1 The kinds of personal information we collect depend on our relationship with you. They may include: name, position and contact details of customer, supplier and trade-reference personnel; identity and contact details of business owners, directors, partners and trustees; details of guarantors, including address and information relevant to assessing a guarantee; commercial credit information about customers, directors and guarantors relevant to assessing and administering commercial credit; transaction, account and payment history; site access and induction details for people attending our premises or work sites; recruitment information for job applicants; and records of communications with us.
2.2 We do not ordinarily collect sensitive information. If we need to (for example health or licence information for site inductions), we collect it only with consent or as permitted by law.
3. How we collect it
3.1 We collect personal information directly where practicable: in credit applications and guarantee documents, in quotations, orders and correspondence, on site, by phone, and through our website.
3.2 We also collect personal information from third parties, including: trade references named in a credit application; credit reporting bodies and other credit providers (for commercial credit assessment); publicly available registers such as ASIC, the ABR and the PPSR; and our related entities listed in section 1.
4. Why we collect and use it
4.1 We collect, hold and use personal information to: assess applications for commercial credit and guarantees; supply goods and services and administer accounts, orders, projects, warranties and support; collect amounts owing and enforce our terms of trade and securities; manage safety, inductions and access at premises and sites; comply with legal obligations, including tax, corporate, electrical safety and work health and safety laws; assess job applications; and communicate with you.
4.2If we cannot collect the information we reasonably request, we may be unable to assess an application, provide credit, or supply goods or services.
5. Who we disclose it to
5.1 We may disclose personal information: between the entities listed in section 1 for credit assessment, account administration and the purposes in section 4; to trade references, credit reporting bodies and other credit providers in connection with commercial credit; to banks, debt collection agents, insurers and professional advisers; to contractors and service providers who support our business, including IT, software and document management providers; and where required or authorised by law.
5.2 Each supplying entity remains responsible for personal information collected for its accounts, and information shared within the group is used only for the purposes described in this policy and the consents given in the relevant application.
6. Overseas disclosure
6.1 We do not ordinarily disclose personal information to overseas recipients. Some service providers (for example cloud software providers) may store data in secure data centres located outside Australia; where that occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the APPs.
7. Direct marketing
7.1 We may send customers information about our goods, services and businesses. You can opt out at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe facility in the communication, and we will stop within a reasonable time.
8. Storage and security
8.1 We hold personal information in electronic systems and, in limited cases, hard copy. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure, including access controls, backups and secure disposal when it is no longer needed. Credit applications, guarantees and related certificates are retained for as long as required for the account and applicable retention laws.
9. Access and correction
9.1 You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details in section 11. We will respond within a reasonable period. We may decline access in limited circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act, and if we do we will tell you why and how to complain.
10. Complaints
10.1 If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact our privacy contact in section 11 with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and respond, ordinarily within 30 days.
10.2 If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
